Most frequent questions and answers
Included in each hire is; a beautiful handmade board,  a buoyancy aid,  a paddle, a 22 litre Red Paddle Co. deck dry bag, a comprehensive demonstration and safety tutorial and waterways license.
Our paddle boards have a load limit of 127kgs.
Children under 10 can share a board with a responsible adult.
It is important to wear clothing that is NON waterlogging, and that you are prepared to get wet in. Your feet may get wet (even if you don’t fall in)so neoprene boots are nice, or sports trainers if it’s too cold for open sandals or bare feet.  Bring a change of clothes!
Children must be over 6 years old to accompany a responsible adult on our paddle boards.
Absolutely they can!! – No previous experience is required but you must be a confident swimmer and ALWAYS wear the buoyancy aid we supply. We will take the time to explain and demonstrate the basics of paddle boarding technique, entering and exiting the craft and river rules. 
We have a good number of different routes for varying durations and abilities, we will give you a waterproof map and explain the options.
NO! Our rigid (non inflatable) boards are not to be removed from the water to transport by road in any way whatsoever.
We do not refund payments for cancellations, you can reschedule a booking with (minimum) 24 hours notice.
We can say from first hand experience that some of the best and most memorable adventures are undertaken no matter the weather.  Pack a set of spare clothes and footwear, as well as provision of a 22 litre deck dry bag placed at the bow of the board, we have additional aft mounted 35 litre dry bags for your extra kit  if needed.
We consider wind speeds of up to 20 mph to be safe conditions to hire.  Wind speeds over this and we will contact you to offer a refund or reschedule option.
We do not have secure storage or locker facilities.
There are public toilets and changing facilities on site.
Norwich Train Station is a 35 minute walk or buses run from the station to Thorpe river green.  Beryl E bikes and scooters have a collection and drop point at the River Green also.  There is a secure railing at the River Green to secure privately owned cycles.
Please notify us in advance of any loss or damage to our equipment, below are a list of  costs that the hirer is responsible for should you lose any equipment.  Lost or irreparably damaged board – £3’000.  Lost or broken paddle £175.  Lost buoyancy aid  £55.  Lost deck bag £120.
We understand that minor scuffs and scratches are a normal part of hiring craft and are unlikely to seek expenses for this level of damage, all we ask is that you treat our equipment with the respect you would if you had made or bought it.
We are understanding of people returning UP TO half an hour past their return time but it is very important to telephone us to communicate this.
A cost of £15 per hour per craft will be charged for later returns.
