Our Canoes have a maximum capacity of 3 people.

Please be aware that we have a maximum user weight of 40kgs for the third person that uses the middle seat of a canoe. This is not because the boat may sink, this is for stability reasons only. 3 large adults without previous canoeing experience increases the chances of capsize significantly more than two adult occupants

If you have never paddled a canoe before, our Swedish built 'Linder' aluminum canoes are an excellent choice. Their wide beam and flat hull shape combined with a keel band, are features that provide paddlers with a very stable and straight tracking canoe

Paddle Boards

Capacity

Our paddle boards have a maximum capacity of 1 person over the age of 10, with a maximum user weight of 127kg. However, Children under 10 can share a board with a responsible adult as long as your combined load does not exceed 127kg.

2 hour route

Why not make a mini adventure of it and access part of the river Yare that is closed for motor craft but perfect for paddle powered craft - If you study our map, and fork left at Carrow Yacht Club as you head upstream towards Norwich, you will experience a meandering and secluded backwater that is a haven for wildlife and fauna. Your turning point is the arched brick bridge, passed this bridge is the Trowse mill which has fast moving water, unless an experienced canoeist, do not approach this point.

3 hour route (City)

Details

From Thorpe River Green into Norwich city - return. This route allows enough time to take a leisurely paddle into the heart of Norwich city. This trip takes you past 'Carrow Road' the Norwich City Football ground, Past the iconic 'Cow Tower' and under the 'Jarrold Bridge' before entering the heart of Norwich. This is a great route that can be extended by stopping at river side pubs, restaurants and mooring sites.

3 hour route (Bramerton)

Details

Thorpe River Green to Bramerton - return. This is definitely a route for those wanting to experience the peace and tranquillity of feeling connected to nature that travelling by our craft brings. Featuring some stunning views on this meandering and unspoiled section of countryside that leads to the turnaround point at Waters Edge pub and Bamerton Common. Take advantage of the free mooring and take a break before enjoying the return journey to Thorpe River Green. This route makes the ideal day trip, why not take a picnic stop at the turnaround point.
If you make good time, there are some brilliant waterways passed Bramerton common.
